On Bobby Kennedy’s Death

June 5, 1968

At 3:30 a.m. the phone rings.  It is Sarah Hudson.  She tells me in a broken, tear-filled voice that Senator Robert Kenny has been shot.  He was at the Ambassador Hotel on Wilshire, quite near our apartment., making a victory speech to about 2000 people.  Sarah and her husband have been working for him.

I calmed Sarah, Anne came and sat by me and we called Mother.  Sarah said she could feel better, asked how to call Mother, and said that Kennedy must not die.

As we called the Mother’s Force I saw the room fill with sparkling lights.  This is an experience Anne has often had but it was the first time I had seen it.

Sarah said they would be leaving soon and had no phone.  I asked her to call sometime during the day so she could speak with Anne.

I slept for approximately two hours as we stayed up all night listening to reports.  During those two hours I had a powerful dream and the following is a record of that dream.

We are in the apartment on Westmoreland in Los Angeles, not far from the East-West Cultural Center where all three of us have been working with Jyotipriya.  The place we are in is much larger than our apartment.  Anne and I have a huge, beautiful tiger who is our pet.  He is really immense and very beautiful.  Samantha, our cat is also there.

My father comes in and pets the tiger.  He fondles its massive head and mouth.  I then remember some slight concern about it eating the cat but we are given to know that this great beast eats only fruits and vegetables so we prepare a meal for him.  I also remember a girl passing by the window and practically going into shock at seeing the tiger.  This is basically the end of the dream.

As soon as possible I send a telegram to Mother telling her the news of Kennedy.
